2. A Thermometer

3. Quarters (in rolls):
You’ll be doing a lot of laundry in college, and these will run out faster than you think.
4. Work attire:
You never know when a job fair or potential interview is coming up.
5. Handheld vacuum:
When you’re studying for a Bio exam and eat Doritos in your bed, you’ll be praising your handheld vacuum when it’s time to go to sleep and you can feel 100 cheesy crumbs sticking into your skin.
6. Safe:
Prevent your valuables from “disappearing.” (Especially helpful if your roommate is a bit sketchy)
7. Ramen noodles:
These taste especially delicious when its freezing outside and the dining hall is a full 7-minute walk away.
8. Can Opener:
As a college student, a large portion of your diet will consist of canned goods. If you want to eat these canned goods, you’ll need a can opener. Your can opener will also bring you fame throughout your dorm, as you will be the only one on your floor with one.
9. Sports Gear:
Any leftover cleats or pads from high school sports will do the trick. You don’t want to limit yourself from participating in athletic activities (ahem, freshman 15) so bring everything you’ve got.
10. Mini Dehumidifier:
Remove dampness in your dorm and prevent mold, especially when the people who in lived in your room before you were not quite so considerate.
11. Hanging Shoe Organizer:
This will allow for more space in your closet, and keep you from misplacing your shoes.
12. Emergency Sewing Kit
For when a button falls off your shirt the night before a big interview.
13. Planner:
Keep up with club meetings, due dates, and social events so you don’t miss out on anything.
14. Brita Pitcher
Avoid drinking unfiltered college sink water with a Brita pitcher. You can also keep this in the fridge to have cold water at hand.
15. Flash drive:
So when your computer crashes, you’ll have some way of accessing your documents.
